Traders reported little interest with many players absent ahead of tonight's trade dinner in London. The Federation of Oils, Seeds, and Fats Association (FOSFA International) is holding it's annual dinner in London for the first time in the 26 years since FOSFA was formed. All previous dinners have been held in Liverpool. Dutch soy oil opened five to one guilders up, while rape oil was 1.50 to two guilders higher, but traders said these were breakfast prices and would not hold if challenged. Crude palm oil opened $2.50 to $5 down but Thursday's closure of the Kuala Lumpur Commodity Exchange for the Hindu festival of Deepavali kept interest at a minimum.
