"I think people are waiting to see how Chicago ends up after Thursday's bullish soybean oil data, before deciding on the next move in Europe," one trader said. Soy oil and rape oil ended one to 2.25 guilders per 100 kilos above Thursday's finish. Rape oil traded Nov/Jan at 124.50 and Feb/Apr at 119.00. Soy oil stayed tradeless. The palm oil sector remained steady but tradeless during the afternoon and firmer on the day by $2.50 to $7.50. Coconut oil, languishing in the doldrums, slipped slightly lower to finish around $2.50 below Thursday's close. Dec traded at $620.00/$622.50 and Jan/Feb $630.
