Soft oils ended unchanged to 0.50 guilders above Monday's finish, and only 0.50 guilders below where they stood at midday. "I think what happens to the soft oils on Wednesday depends on whether the fund buying seen in Chicago yesterday returns or not," one trader said. Soy oil traded Nov at 114.50 guilders, while rape oil fetched 116 guilders for Dec. The palm oil sector was supported by good demand and closed as much as $7.50 firmer. Very little fresh trade was reported during the afternoon session. Crude palm oil changed hands at $542.50 and palm olein at $555 for Jan/Feb. Coconut oil closed $5 to $12.50 easier as sellers found themselves having to meet buyers' demands, although actual volume was said to have been small.
