ZAGREB, June 21 (Hina) - The Croatian Finance Ministry on Friday
cancelled an instruction from a government decree adopted on
Thursday on customs officers not checking passenger vehicles. #L#
The government's public relations office said in a statement this
evening that after the cessation of a two-day strike of customs
officers at noon today the situation in passenger traffic on border
crossings was gradually normalising and that there was no longer
any danger of long delays.
The Ministry has therefore changed the decree instructing customs
officers not to check passenger vehicles. The said instruction is
cancelled, but other instructions regarding assistance to customs
officers on border crossings during weekend pile-ups remain in
force, reads the statement.
