The unions announcing the strike gather 3,850 of the total 16,000 HZ
employees.
The HZ management on Thursday refused union requests that the
collective agreement with their suggestions apply as of May 1, not
June 1 as the management offered.
The conciliation procedure failed, the three unions reported.
The remaining four unions which on Wednesday initialled a draft
collective agreement will not join the strike.
The average salary in the company now is 3,400 kuna.
