The Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Croatia (SSSH) and
the Association of Workers' Trade Unions of Croatia (URSH)
abandoned the agreement, signed by the government, employers and
unions late last year, accusing the government of failing to fulfil
its obligations from the agreement.
The Croatian Association of Trade Unions (HUS) has announced the
possibility of backing out of the agreement as well.
"There is a possibility that the unions currently outside the
agreement would join it again once annexes to the document are drawn
up," Begovic said after a meeting with employers and union
representatives at the government.
Begovic discussed the annexes with representatives of the Croatian
Employers' Union and two union federations which remained in the
agreement - the Council of Croatian Public Service Workers Unions
and the Croatian Association of Trade Unions (HUS).
The annexes concern an agreement on the wage policy, the
restructuring and privatisation of economy, the ratification of
the European Social Charter, and the foundations of social policy.
The social partners could adopt the four annexes by the end of the
month, Begovic said.
