Bradford wool market deliveries remain good
LONDON, Nov 10 (Reuters) - Most firms involved in earlier
processing, especially combing, continue to find a good call for
deliveries, traders said.
This has helped to keep hopes of better buying interest
alive, even on the export side where pressure from sterling
strength has resulted in sporadic hand to mouth business, they
added.
However, the market remained generally worried that exports
would be even more difficult with sterling stronger again after
the latest UK interest rate rise, especially as this will make
imports cheaper than supplies from the UK.
Machine knitting and spinning was said to have already shown
the effects of sterling strength and a widening downturn was
feared.
