ZAGREB, June 13 (Hina) - The president of the Croatian Election
Commission, Ivan Mrkonjic, on Friday held talks with the special
coordinator for presidential election monitoring of the Organization for
Security and Cooperation and Europe, Paul Simon.
Mrkonjic informed Simon about Croatia's election legislation,
especially the holding of elections abroad, where there are about
370,000 registered voters.
Expressing satisfaction that numerous foreign observers will follow
Croatia's 15 June presidential election, Mrkonjic trusted the observers
would visit Croatia's Danube region as well.
"There we have prepared the election in the same way as elsewhere
in Croatia", he said.
According to OSCE's coordinator, there will be more than 150 OSCE
observers at the Sunday election.
