SARAJEVO, Aug 23 (Hina) - The Central Bank of Bosnia-Herzegovina on Monday called on the users of Bosnia's convertible mark to pay attention during cash-payments due to forged bank-notes despite the fact that they are not
highly-circulated as yet. According to a statement issued in Sarajevo on Monday, the most frequently forged bank-notes are those of 100 and 10 convertible marks. The convertible mark is made in two versions, one for the Croat-Muslim federation and one for Republika Srpska, Bosnia's other entity. The difference is in the images of the writers featured on the bank-notes. To date, forgeries have appeared only in the federal version. The Central Bank points out forged bank-notes can be recognised by the different size, the fact that the water seal is poorly visible, the protection thread is disappearing, and the relief text is absent.(hina) ha
