ZAGREB, Aug 23 (Hina) - Insured savings investments up to 30,000 kunas will be paid out to customers in five banks which were proclaimed bankrupt earlier this year. Payment of insured savings investments up to 50K kunas for about
9,000 customers will being in October and for investments up to 89K kunas for 8,000 customers will being in November, the State Agency for Savings Insurance and Bank Rehabilitation (DAB) reported Monday. Payment of accounts for some 80 thousand customers of the Ilirja, Glumina, Komercijalna, Gradska and Zupanjska banks will be paid for customers with accounts up to 30,000 kunas. Payments of savings began in June for accounts up to 10K kunas. Bankruptcy procedures for the five banks were initiated by the Croatian National Bank mid March due to serious insolvency without prospect of rehabilitation in keeping with current legislature.
