SARAJEVO, July 28 (Hina) - Bosnia-Herzegovina's Council of
Ministers on Wednesday considered a text of a draft agreement on the
border between Croatia and Bosnia but failed to reach consent on its
contents.
The Ministerial Council's co-chairman, Svetozar Mihajlovic, who is
a Serb representative, told reporters in Sarajevo that the Bosnian
Serb party insisted that the text should include an amendment under
which police of both countries will not pass on the left and right
banks respectively of the Una river until the final ratification of
the frontier treaty.
Bosnian Serbs have already brought in question agreement reached at
negotiations of expert groups, by demanding a change in the border
line near Kostajnica so that it will go through the middle of the
course of the Una river.
The Ministerial Council decided to forward the draft agreement on
the Bosnian-Croatian border to Bosnia's three-man Presidency.
The ball has been thus played back to Bosnia's state leadership that
accepted the text a day before under the condition that the Council
endorse the deal.
The agreement was expected to be signed during the Sarajevo Summit
of the Stability Pact for Southeast Europe.
