VRBOVSKO VRBOVSKO, July 29 (Hina) - Heavy rains which fell from 11.00 pm Wednesday to 05.00 am Thursday caused a flood in the area of Vrbovsko, 80 kilometres south-west of Zagreb. The Dobra river burst its banks and flooded 300 metres
of the road, several business premises in Moravice and Vrbovsko and a dozen houses near the river, the local information centre reported this morning. The depth of the water at flooded sites is between 30 and 50 centimetres. The state road from Vrbovsko via Gomirje to Ogulin is closed for all traffic. Drivers can use a local road from Vrbovsko via Kucaj to Okruglica. It is again starting to rain heavily and therefore it cannot be said exactly when the state road will be open for traffic. Firefighters are helping to pump water out of cellars of flooded houses, offices and manufacturing plants. Damage cannot be at the moment assessed.
