holiday bonuses or to increase the basic salary. #L#
In a statement from the Government following a meeting between a
Deputy Prime Minister, Goran Granic, with a union negotiating team
held on Tuesday, it says that at this moment the Government was not
in a position to find the funding from the budget that would be
required to pay holiday bonuses or to raise the basic salary. The
statement added that union representatives expressed their
dissatisfaction with the Government's decision.
The union negotiation team proposed a compromise by which
supplementary health care coverage could be paid. Granic announced
that this issue would be discussed at the next Government session.
He also said there would talk of adhering to a collective agreement
that unions obliged themselves to and that they would analyse the
implementation of the provisions of the agreement until July 15
this year, the press release from the Government's Media and Public
Relations Office noted.
