am on Thursday was discontinued at noon on Friday, Croatian Customs Workers' Union officials said at a press conference on Friday. Although they are not entirely satisfied with a government decree on bonuses for special working conditions in public services, and consider that other requests for the improvement of the financial status of customs officers have not been met, union representatives have decided to discontinue the strike due to kilometre-long pile-ups at border crossings. The unionists believe that the strike of warning, which covered 80 percent of customs officers, was entirely successful and stress that a large majority of customs officers took part in it. During the strike, plane arrivals were 30-45 minutes delayed, lines at border crossings
