statement on Friday. #L#
The statement noted that the government on Thursday passed a decree
giving customs officers a 10-20 percent wage supplement, but that
customs officers were continuing to overdo the inspection of every
vehicle crossing the state border.
The Finance Ministry today issued a directive containing measures
which should reduce pile-ups at border crossings and is to remain in
force until midnight on June 23.
Authorised customs employees will be sent as help to border
crossings where delays are expected in the transit of goods and
tourists.
A special directive has been given regarding passenger transport so
that passenger cars are not inspected.
