union sources reported. #L#
"There has been no progress with regard to the government's
contradictory stances between the government, employers and unions
concerning redundancy payments, dismissal periods and the
definition of small employers", the union source told Hina.
He estimated therefore that the Economic-Social Council would have
to come up with a solution to contentious issues. The council is to
meet next week.
According to the unions, the government and employers are
determined to decrease workers' rights which currently exist in the
Labour Act which the unions object to, because, as they say, workers
would be exposed to greater insecurity and fear of losing their
jobs.
