The agreement, which was signed for an indefinite term, regulates
labour-related and material rights of some 20,000 of a total of
35,000 tourism and catering workers.
The agreement also envisages 30-percent bonuses for night shifts
and work on Sundays, a 50-percent bonus for work on holidays, and a
10-percent bonus for afternoon shifts. The shortest holiday would
last 18 days and Christmas bonuses and holiday allowances would be
regulated with collective agreements at the level of individual
companies.
Amidst harsh disputes surrounding the announced changes to the
Labour Act, all social partners described the agreement as a
positive example.
