"The agreement with the World Bank is no obstacle to our taking as
much time as we need to make good changes to the Labour Act," Granic
said after a session of the Economic-Social Council.
The government, unions, and employers agreed today that a joint
working group should propose solutions for the most contentious
issues, the definition of the small employer, notice periods, and
severance pays, within a fortnight.
They also agreed on the establishment of a working group which
should propose concrete solutions for a faster settlement of labour
disputes, also within two weeks.
