The 90-seat parliament will consist of representatives of seven political parties.
The SDS, which won 29.8 percent of the vote, will hold 29 seats. At the 3 October polls, 280,000 voters cast their ballots for Jansa's party as against 110,000 who voted for the SDS at the elections four years ago, when the SDS won 15.9 percent of votes.
The Liberal Democrats of Slovenia (LDS), led by the current Prime Minister Anton Rop, won 22.8 percent of votes as against 36.21 percent at the parliamentary polls four years ago. The LDS will hold 23 seats in the Drzavni Zbor.
The other five parliamentary parties are the Joint List of Social Democrats or ZLSD led by Borut Pahor with 10 seats, the New Slovenia or N.Si. of Andrej Bajuk with nine seats, the Slovene People's Party or SLS led by Janez Podobnik with seven seats, the Slovene National Party or SNS of Zmago Jelincic with six seats, and the DESUS pensioners party with four seats.
The turnout was 60.64 percent, which is the lowest turnout at parliamentary polls since 1992. At the 2000 parliamentary polls the turnout was 70.73 percent.
