Joras, known for his persistent refusal to recognise Croatia's sovereignty in a village south of the Dragonja river in which he lives, won only 1.69 percent of votes in the residential area of Siska in the Slovene capital of Ljubljana where he was nominated, thus failing to win a seat in the national assembly.
The SLS party, however, won 6.82 percent of votes in the country, passing the electoral threshold of four percent. In the parliament, this party led by Janez Podobnik will hold 6 seats.
