"We are entering a stable political period in Slovenia and a stable period of bilateral relations. We are ready to openly cooperate with any Slovene government," Zuzul said commenting on results of yesterday's parliamentary elections in that neighbouring country.
The strongest opposition party of the right centre, Janez Jansa's Slovene Democratic Party, is the relative winner of Sunday's parliamentary vote and will have onve third of the seats in the new composition of parliament.
Zuzul said every Slovene government would represent Slovenia's interest and "it is up to us to represent Croatia's".
"Friendship is one thinf and interests is norther, Croatia and Slovenia are friendly countries and each has its own interests, but they also have common interests," Zuzul said.
"I believe that based on our common interest we will be able to develop good relations," Zuzul said.
