REHN TALKS WITH CROATIAN MISSING PERSONS' FAMILIES

ZAGREB, Oct 12 (Hina) - U.N. special rapporteur for human rights, Elizabeth Rehn, pledged to Croatia's missing people's and war prisoners' families to ask the U.N. Security Council to pass a resolution on prompt establishment of the fate of persons whose whereabouts have been unknown since the beginning of the Homeland War. Rehn met Croatia's missing people's and detainees' families, the centre "APEL" members and the Vinkovci-based 'Croatian Mothers' group, in Zagreb on Saturday, the centre for the protection of human rights of Croatia's missing persons and detainees reported. At the meeting the families pointed to the necessity of speedy liberation of detainees and establishment of the fate of the missing people. They delivered to Rehn a written appeal for assistance in solving those problems and gave her an album with missing people's photos. (hina) mš 122023 MET oct 96
