SARAJEVO, Oct 10 (Hina) - Bosnia-Herzegovina's Presidency member
and Bosnia-Herzegovina's Federation President Kresimir Zubak
received on Thursday the deputy of the British Foreign Secretary,
Sir Nicholas Bonsor, accompanied by the British Ambassador to
Bosnia, Charles Crawford, the Federation's President office said in
statement.
They discussed the current situation and functioning of the
Federation of (Croat-Moslem) Bosnia-Herzegovina, the establishment
of new bodies of authorities in Bosnia-Herzegovina. They paid a
special attention to issues of upcoming local elections, and agreed
that many open questions should be solved soon in order to create
minimum conditions before the holding of elections.
Accompanied by Bosnia-Herzegovina's Premier Hasan Muratovic,
Zubak received on Thursday Richard Sklar the U.S. special envoy for
the Dayton Agreement civilian parts' implementation, and a State
Department advisor Jeanine Corvetto.
They talked about prospects of investment in and construction
of railway lines, public utilities and the functioning of them in a
single system throughout Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Zubak met the U.N. special rapporteur on human rights
Elizabeth Rehn for talks about human rights' situation in the
Federation, the repatriation of refugees and local elections due to
be soon held in Bosnia, according to the statement quoted by the
Herzeg-Bosnian news agency (HABENA).
