ZAGREB, 5 Feb (Hina) - The Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic on
Wednesday received delegations of the associations 'Hrvatski feniks',
'Vukovarske majke' and 'Apel', the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Minister Granic informed the delegations about efforts the government
is making in its contacts with the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and
international community in order to solve the problem of the fate of missing
persons as soon as possible.
At the last meeting between Croatian and Yugoslav representatives in
Belgrade, the Croatian side received 120 protocols on Croatia's missing
persons. Croatia would continue to insist that the delivery of the remaining
protocols the Yugoslav side is holding, be sped up, Granic said.
Special attention would be paid to the further uncovering of the fate
of persons who went missing in the areas liberated by the operation 'Storm'
and in the Croatian Danubian area. That problem would be dealt with at one
of the next government sessions, Granic said.
Minister Granic and the delegations stressed the need for regular
meetings and consultations with the aim of solving the question of missing
persons.
