ZAGREB, Jan 16 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic held talks with the bishop of Banja Luka, Franjo Komarica, in Zagreb on Thursday, a statement from the Croatian Foreign Ministry said. #L# Warning about the difficult position of the remaining Croats in Banja Luka (Serb entity, Bosnia-Herzegovina), Bishop Komarica recalled that the whereabouts of missing Banja Luka parish priests Tomislav Matanovic and Ratko Grgic were still unknown. During the talks Granic was informed about the problems of Croats who had fled from northwestern Bosnia and about great difficulties with which persons who want to return to the area are faced. Croatia was consistent in the implementation of Washington and Dayton agreements, Granic said, adding that everything was being done to protect the remaining Croats in Republika Srpska and to find accommodation for those who had fled to Croatia. Granic had announced that the procedure for opening a Croatian general consulate in Banja Luka would soon be initiated, the statement said. (hina) lm mm 161721 MET jan 97
