ZAGREB, Jan 29 (Hina) - Croatia's Foreign Minister Mate Granic, on
Wednesday received Ambassador Robert Frowick, the chief of the OSCE
(Organization for Cooperation and Security in Europe) mission in
Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Croatian Foreign Ministry said in a
statement.
Frowick informed Minister Granic of steps the OSCE mission was
taking to prepare municipal elections in Bosnia-Herzegovina. He
said that on Tuesday agreement was reached on basic rules and
procedures in holding municipal elections, scheduled for 12 and 13
July.
Minister Granic vowed that Croatia would fully support the
preparations and holding of municipal elections in Bosnia-
Herzegovina.
The Croatian Minister said he believed that the Bosnian
Federation Parliament's adoption of a law on organization of new
municipalities in the (Croat-Moslem) Federation of Bosnia-
Herzegovina would certainly contribute to success of the elections.
At the end of the talks Frowick thanked authorities of the
Republic of Croatia for help they had offered during the
organization and holding the September 1996 elections in Bosnia.
