Palm oil was quiet ahead of the release on Tuesday of the Malaysian Palm Oil Registration and Licensing Authority's (PORLA) end-March output, stocks and exports data. In his last report for March Malaysian private forecaster Ivan Wong estimated local palm oil output at end-March at 665,000 tonnes, 32 percent up from end-February. Stocks were projected at 725,000 tonnes against 722,993 tonnes in February. At the close crude palm oil cif Europe was $2.50 up to unchanged in a tradeless market. RBD palm oil was also up by the same amount while olein was $2.50 up to $2.50 down after Jun traded at $575 and Apr traded at $582.50 in as switch with Jul/Sep at $567.50 a tonne fob Malaysian ports. Coconut oil shed it's early gains and closed $2.50 to $5 lower after Apr/May traded at $717.50, May/Jun at $712.50 and Jun/Jul at $707.50 and $705 a tonne cif in mainly dealer trading. Palmkernel oil closed unchanged to $2.50 higher. Volatile trading in Chicago kept the lid on soft oils with soy oil one guilders down at the close after Aug/Sep traded at 104.25 guilders a 100 kilos. Rape oil was 0.50 to 0.25 guilders lower after tended Apr trade at 103 and Aug/Sep at 103.00, 103.25 and 103.50 guilders a 100 kilos fob ex-mill.
