ZAGREB, Oct 6 (Hina) - A UNHCR convoy, which was to deliver
humanitarian supplies to the Moslem-held town of Velika Kladusa
in northwestern Bosnia, was again denied permission by local Serb
authorities in Croatia today to reach its destination through the
UN Protected Area (UNPA), UNHCR said.
Alemka Lisinski, a spokeswoman for the UN High Commissioner
for Refugees in Zagreb, said that a nine-truck convoy with 72
tonnes of flour was expected in the eastern Moslem enclave of
Gorazde this evening.
She said that several UNHCR convoys were dispatched to
central Bosnia from Metkovic, southern Croatia.
After Bosnian Serbs agreed on the reopening of Sarajevo
airport, UNHCR was planning to resume aid shipments to Sarajevo
tomorrow as UN warehouses have provisions to last only for the
next four days.
