SARAJEVO, Oct 2 (Hina) - Despite the fact that representatives of
the self-proclaimed Serb authorities from Pale this morning
informed the UN headquarters in Sarajevo that UNPROFOR convoys
could leave for their destinations, this promise has not been
fulfilled so far.
UN spokesman in Sarajevo, Major Koos Sol, said shortly before
4.00p.m. that two UNPROFOR convoys were still blocked on the route
between Kiseljak and Sarajevo. Serb soldiers at a check-point near
Kobiljaca refused to allow the passage to the convoys, saying they
were not ordered to do that.
A Serb liaison officer at the Serb command in Lukavica told UN
representatives that there were problems in communication with
troops on the ground.
