SARAJEVO, Oct 4 (Hina) - Bosnian Serbs yesterday denied 25 UN
humanitarian convoys to pass through territory under their control,
the UN in Sarajevo said today.
The convoys were taking provisions to UN peace-keepers round
Bosnia.
Two UNHCR food convoys travelling from Belgrade to the eastern
Moslem enclave of Gorazde were also stopped by Bosnian Serbs.
UNHCR spokesman Kris Janowski told reporters that the Serbs
agreed to clear passage for all humanitarian aid shipments provided
they were allowed to inspect the cargo, which UNHCR accepted.
UNPROFOR military spokesman Tim Spicer said that yesterday's
problems with the passage of convoys were caused by poor
communications between the Serb command and their troops on the
ground.
