"The Bosnian Government will ask the High Representative Carl
Bildt that he and the commander of the NATO-led Implementation
Force (IFOR) demand the withdrawal of all uniformed and armed
persons from the surroundings of Sarajevo immediately. In the
contrary, we may take measures under the peace deal" Muratovic said
and explained that the opposite behavior would put in question the
Bosnian Government's confidence toward Bildt.
Muratovic said the US Secretary of State, Warren Christopher,
had been informed of this problem during today's talks.
Muratovic said it was not true that the Bosnian Government had
been included in negotiations that led to "the decision that Serb
police may continue work (in Sarajevo suburbs) until March 19".
According to Muratovic, Serbs would be able to be employed in the
Bosnian federal police after the expiry of the 90-day period since
the arrival of IFOR in Bosnia-Herzegovina, and a number of Serbs in
the federal police should be in accordance to the 1991 census.
