Addressing the representatives, Muratovic stressed that the
functioning of the integral state of Bosnia-Herzegovina
considerably depended upon the strength and functioning of the
Muslim-Croat Federation.
The most important aim of the Bosnian economy was the
reconstruction of the country and employment, Muratovic said.
An important aim of the Bosnian state policy was a speedy
admittance of Bosnia-Herzegovina to the European Union and NATO,
Muratovic said, adding that in the foreign policy Bosnia's most
important task was to have good relations with Croatia. Those
relations would be strategic ones and they would be built on the
basis of equality, Muratovic said, adding that Bosnia-Herzegovina
would strive to make them exemplary. Relations with Belgrade would
have to be normalized as well, for the sake of those Serbs who live
in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Muratovic said, warning though that one must
not forget crimes Yugoslavia was responsible for.
The return of refugees would be important for the reconstruction of
the country, the Bosnian Premier stressed. All those who wanted to
return would be able to return but after conditions for their
return had been created. The refugees who return would by no means
be accommodated in camps, Muratovic stressed.
Representatives in the Bosnian Assembly also elected new
ministers who had been proposed by Premier Muratovic. Jadranko
Prlic was appointed as Foreign Minister (Deputy - Hasan
Dervisbegovic), Mirsad Kikanovic was appointed as Finance Minister
(no deputy has been appointed yet), Hilmo Pasic was appointed as
Minister of Justice and Administration (Deputy - Zoran Perkovic),
Nudzeim Recica was appointed as Minister for Issues of Refugees and
Emigration (Deputy - Vladislav Pogarcic), Neven Tomic was appointed
as Minister of Foreign Trade and International Communication
(Deputy - Seadeta Ceric), while Dragoljub Stojanov was appointed as
Minister without portfolio.
