JAJCE, Aug 13 (Hina) - The deputy to the international High
Representative to Bosnia-Herzegovina, Gerd Wagner, met Bosnian
Moslem and Croat officials in Jajce on Tuesday night to discuss
implementation of the Sarajevo agreement of August 5 on the return
of refugees and displaced persons to the Central Bosnia canton.
The closed-door meeting also involved representatives of the
Nato-led peace Stabilisation Force, the International Police Task
Force, the office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, the EU
Monitor Mission and displaced Croats from Bugojno.
It was agreed that the Moslems, who had left the village of
Kruscica after an incident earlier this month, could return by the
end of this week, while the residents of other villages could return
by the end of next week.
Speaking to reporters, Wagner expressed a hope that efforts
aimed at repatriating Moslem refugees would grow into a process that
would allow all refugees and displaced persons from the Central
Bosnia canton to return to their homes.
