HSP-HKDU COALITION HOLDS CENTRAL PRE-ELECTION RALLY IN ZAGREB

ZAGREB, Dec 30 (Hina) - The coalition of the Croatian Party of Rights (HSP) and the Croatian Christian Democratic Union (HKDU) held a central pre-election rally in Zagreb on Wednesday evening. Leaders of the HSP and the HKDU, Anto Djapic and Marko Veselica, addressed the gathered. Djapic asserted that the Croatian Party of Rights "has done its best to help create and defend the Croatian State." "Following principles of Ante Starcevic, the HSP has exercised the Croatian people's right to freedom and its own state. We should now make it possible for the Croatian people to be equal among other nations," the HSP President Djapic added. He claimed that those who would like to "weaken the Croatian Army do not wish good to this people." Stressing that the coming parliamentary election would be of a crucial importance for the future of the Croatian people, the HKDU President Marko Veselica voiced confidence that at the elections victory would be achieved by "Croatian patriots who were ready to give also their lives for the homeland". "We do not want those who used to persecute and loot the Croatian people for a half century to lead us now," he said.
