ZAGREB, Sept 9 (Hina) - Croatian Parliament President Vlatko Pavletic on Thursday met the incoming head of the European Community Monitoring Mission (ECMM) in Croatia, Ambassador Jorm Inki, the Parliament Public Relations Office said
today. During the meeting, Pavletic pointed to Croatia's aspirations to become integrated into the European Union and other Euro-Atlantic associations as a central European, Mediterranean and a Danubian country. He also spoke about the problems the county was facing as the result of the Serbian aggression and the recent Kosovo crisis. Pavletic called for understanding and support in reconstruction, whose high costs were obstructing the country's development. Inki stressed the importance of Croatia's role in the region and a wish for the ECMM to act constructively and help Croatia in becoming a member of the European Community.
