ZAGREB, Sept 3 (Hina) - Croatia has accepted an invitation by the Office for U.N. Peace Operations to send its military observers to Siera Leone within the UNOMSIL - the United Nations Observer Mission in Sierra Leone. This is the
first time the Croatian Armed Forces are participating in an international peace mission, which confirms the outstanding reputation of the Croatian army, the Croatian Defence Ministry said in a statement on Friday. The Office for Peace Operations sent the invitation to Croatia in early July. The Ministry also published a list of candidates and the final technical preparations for joining the Sierra Leone mission are being completed.
