ZAGREB, June 3 (Hina) - Several bench presidents in the Croatian parliament's House of Representatives on Thursday received Slovak Ambassador Jan Petrik with whom they discussed preparations for Croatia's upcoming elections.
Participating in the talks were Srecko Bijelic of the Croatian People's Party, Mate Arlovic of the Social Democratic Party, Hrvoje Kraljevic of the Croatian Social Liberal Party, Ante Djapic of the Croatian Party of Rights, Njegovan Starek as head of national minorities' independent representatives, and Luka Trconic of the Croatian Peasants' Party. The talks tackled the passing of a new electoral law and further agreement between Croatia's opposition parties and the ruling Croatian Democratic Union, public television, cooperation among opposition parties prior to and after the elections, and other current issues, particularly the situation in Slovakia aft
