ZAGREB, May 20 (Hina) - Leaders of the Croatian Farmers' Association have announced the possibility of a protest visit of a farmers' delegation to Zagreb, should the Government fail to voice its opinion on their requests presented on
Wednesday at a meeting with Premier Zlatko Matesa and Agriculture Minister Ivan Djurkic. Farmers are demanding the immediate payment of all claims for last year's yields, an acceptable price of oil for farmers and fishermen, the implementation of a parliamentary decision on subsidising agricultural production, the prohibition of import of agricultural products which can be produced in Croatia, the correction of the price of this year's yield of wheat (i.e. increasing it to 1.32 kuna). The association on Tuesday organised a protest, blocking the roads in Croatia. The farmers today described the protest as a success.(hina) jn rml
