them, 24,500 have been transported to third countries, 54,000 Kosovans are in refugee camps, while the rest of refugees have found shelter in private homes or in rented flats. The Macedonian capital of Skopje has accommodated even 50,000 refugees. In addition, two refugee camps outside Skopje - Stenkovec and Brazda - are the shelter for more than 40,000 Kosovo deportees. The camps are in vicinity to villages mostly populated by Serbs who have already caused several incidents with NATO troops. against NATO at which a few thousand people showed their anti-
Western feelings. The rally was peaceful, and organisers announced
they would continue with such events.
