ZAGREB, April 22 (Hina) - The Association of Independent Croatian Unions (SSSH) will mark this year's Labour Day with a public protest, SSSH secretary-general Vitomir Begovic told a news conference on Thursday. The basic message of
unions is their request for economic, social and political changes. This year the SSSH will not invite state officials to participate in the celebration of Labour Day. Begovic announced that state officials, should they appear at the celebration, would be prevented from addressing the protesters. The unions will start marking Labour Day at 8 am by laying wreaths at the central cross at Zagreb's cemetery of Mirogoj. They will then attend mass for Croatian workers at the Zagreb Cathedral, after which they will form a protest column in the central Ban Jelacic square, and set out toward the city's Maksimir park, where the central protest rally will be staged, to begi
