ZAGREB, April 29 (Hina) - Presidents of Croatian six opposition
parties on Thursday assessed that it would be in public interest
that the consilium of doctors release a report on Croatian
President Franjo Tudjman's medical condition, as well as that of
the President of the Croatian National Sabor, Vlatko Pavletic.
The six opposition parties forwarded a memorandum to the Presidency
of the Croatian National Sabor's House of Representatives which
read that, according to information of over a month ago, Pavletic's
health was satisfactory, and that he should have returned to his
duties.
"Given that this did not happened, and no information on Pavletic's
health has been released to the public, wishing his soon recovery,
representatives of the Croatian Social Liberal Party (HSLS), the
Croatian People's Party (HNS), the Croatian Peasants' Party (HSS),
the Istrian Democratic Assembly (IDS), the Liberal Party (LS), and
the Social Democratic Party (SDP), believe that it would be in
public interest that the doctors' consilium releases a report on
his medical condition", the letter read.
The six opposition parties believe that the consilium should also
release a report on the medical condition of the Croatian President
to "avoid speculations on the health conditions of two the most
senior Croatian state officials".
