The Council's chairman, French Ambassador Alain Dejammet, told reporters after an informal session the Council had received a letter by Croatia's permanent representative at the U.N., Ivan Simonovic. He added the Council was expecting information which Secretary-General promised to provide urgently. requested Secretary-General Kofi Annan to urgently submit a report
on the situation in the demilitarised area of Prevlaka, following
reports that between 200 and 300 Yugoslav soldiers have made an
incursion in the area from Montenegro's territory.
The Council's chairman, French Ambassador Alain Dejammet, told
reporters after an informal session the Council had received a

Secretary-General promised to provide urgently.
Members of the Council have reaffirmed the sovereignty and
territorial integrity of Croatia within its internationally

The Security Council discussed a report by the Secretary General on
the situation on Prevlaka and activities of U.N. observers.
They expressed support for the negotiating process between Croatia
and Yugoslavia. The Council regrets that there has been no
significant progress in negotiations and calls on Croatia and
Yugoslavia to intensify their efforts in that direction.
