ZAGREB, Feb 5 (Hina) - A high delegation of the Council of Europe, Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe and United Nations will visit Croatia at the beginning of next week. The delegation will meet the highest Croatian
officials to discuss human rights, minority rights, media freedoms and democratisation of the Croatian society. The delegation will meet the highest Croatian officials to discuss
human rights, minority rights, media freedoms and democratisation
of the Croatian society.
The delegation, which will arrive in Croatia at the invitation of
the OSCE Mission to Croatia, includes Are Jostein Nordheim,
representative of Germany, the country chairing the OSCE, the high
OSCE commissioner for national minorities, Max van der Stoel, the
special UN rapporteur on human rights in the former Yugoslavia,

According to the schedule of the visit, the delegation will on
Tuesday meet Croatian President Franjo Tudjman, after which it will
have a meeting with a Government delegation, led by Prime Minister
Zlatko Matesa.
This visit has been planned for a long time and is part of
cooperation between Croatia and the OSCE, said Foreign Ministry
spokesman Zeljko Trkanjec.
"This is the continuation of our political dialogue which will
tackle all topics from the areas which are under the jurisdiction of
the members of this delegation", said Trkanjec.
