CHICAGO CHICAGO, Feb 1 (Hina) - Croatian Deputy Premier and Reconstruction and Development Minister Jure Radic on Sunday held talks with the Archbishop of Chicago, cardinal Francis George. Prior to the talks on the second day of their
visit to Chicago, Radic and a Croatian delegation visited St. Jerome's parish and met many Croatian Americans who attended mass. The Croats of Chicago said they were proud Mayor Richard Daley decided to have one of the downtown streets named after the late Croatian cardinal Alojzije Stepinac, who was last year beatified by Pope John Paul II. On Monday, Radic and the Croatian delegation will meet Daley for talks about "Croatia in Chicago", a manifestation marking the opening of a Croatian consulate general in Chicago.
