BELGRADE, May 4 (Hina) - The Office of Yugoslav President Vojislav Kostunica condemned on Friday the recent arrest of seven eastern Croatian Serbs as "a form of intimidation aimed at demoralising Serb voters ahead of local elections
and preventing Serb returns." "The latest arrests, as all previous ones, do not contribute at all to the normalisation of relations between Croatia and (Yugoslavia), but further encumber them, further increasing the Serbs' scepticism in the democratisation of Croatia as a state of all of its citizens," the Office said in a statement. Seven Serbs were arrested in the eastern-most Croatian region of Baranja last Wednesday. The Osijek County Court indicted them for war crimes against civilians.(hina) ha sb
