that the award was worth US$5,000 that Djindjic will donate to the Foundation for Orphan Children.

be awarded in Prague on Saturday by the Polak Foundation for his
contribution to developing freedom and democracy, the Serbian
Government reported on Friday, adding that the award was worth
US$5,000 that Djindjic will donate to the Foundation for Orphan

The award was founded in 1995. The Polak Foundation grants
recognition for contributions to democracy and economic reforms in
central and eastern Europe. Vaclav Klaus, Lech Valensa, Janez
Drnovsek and Viktor Orban have been awarded by the Foundation since
its establishment.
