The Internet provider HThinet, the festival's chief partner and
sponsor of the Motovun Online award, will broadcast live most of the
events surrounding the festival, including news conferences, round
tables, book promotions, and concerts on the address
www.hinet.hr/motovunff/2002,.
Around 30,000 people passed through Motovun during last year's
edition of the festival, while more than 80,000 from some 60
countries visited the film festival's webpages
(www.motovunfilmfestival.hinet.hr).
A novelty of this year's event is an impressions camera, which will
show daily comments from visitors to Motovun and the festival's
guests, as well as Free Motovun Radio, which will air its two-hour
daily programme on the festival's Internet site.
Competing for this year's Motovun Online best film award, given by
an expert jury, will be some 20 short (less than 15 minutes) films.
These will be shown online.
This year's Motovun Film Festival will feature some 70 films, and a
Hong Kong film retrospective.
