BELGRADE, July 23 (Hina) - Former Yugoslav President Zoran Lilic is exempt from obligation to keep military and state secrets and his claims that he cannot testify before the U.N. war crimes tribunal in The Hague are "ridiculous and
untrue", Yugoslav Foreign Minister Goran Svilanovic said on Tuesday.
BELGRADE, July 23 (Hina) - Former Yugoslav President Zoran Lilic is
exempt from obligation to keep military and state secrets and his
claims that he cannot testify before the U.N. war crimes tribunal in
The Hague are "ridiculous and untrue", Yugoslav Foreign Minister
Goran Svilanovic said on Tuesday. #L#
Svilanovic is also the chairman of the national council for
cooperation with the Hague-based tribunal.
Lilic was to take the witness stand in the Slobodan Milosevic trial.
His testimony was, however, postponed due to his claim that he had
not been exempt from keeping military and state secrets.
