LJUBLJANA, July 12 (Hina) - At its last session before the summer break, the Slovene parliament on Friday ratified a framework agreement on the succession to the former Federal Republic of Yugoslavia which was signed by all legal
successors to the former Yugoslavia in Vienna a year ago.

agreement on the succession to the former Federal Republic of
Yugoslavia which was signed by all legal successors to the former

The agreement was voted for by 39 present MPs while 19 voted
against. The agreement regulates the division of rights and
obligations of the successor countries to the former Yugoslavia,
regarding property, debts, pensions, acquired rights and consulate
real estate in third countries.
The voting took place after the closed part of the session at which
Opposition MPs requested explanations about possible negative side
effects.
