Mesic expressed hope that those responsible would soon adopt
measures to ensure new jobs and that the right to work would soon
become a truly fundamental and respected human right.
In his May 1 greeting, Sabor President Zlatko Tomcic pointed out
that circumstances had still not been established to realise the
right to work which is guaranteed in the Constitution to every
Croatian citizen.
"Dialogue between social partners and their co-operation will open
the door to optimism and belief that difficulties that stand in the
way of economic and social development can be overcome," Tomcic
said.
